"You can learn a lot about yourself with what you're doing and who you're with on a Sunday."
Sunday morning- coffee and croissants, listening to Adele for the millionth time (my poor neighbours) and trying to write about things that make my heart feel a little lighter:

“For my part I know nothing with any certainty, but the sight of the stars makes me dream.” - Vincent Van Gogh
- when Luna says my name
- mojitos
- al-fresco dining
- my friends for their wisdom and kindness and generosity
- hope, no certainty, that things will get better
"I always tell my kids if you lay down, people will step over you. But if you keep scrambling, if you keep going, someone will always, always give you a hand. Always." - Morgan Freeman
- toasted cheese, tomato and avocado sandwiches
- good coffee
- music that is soul-achingly wonderful and my savior
- Tina Fey's Bossypants for making me laugh out loud
- my first pair of skinny jeans (thank you Old Navy)
- books just piling up and waiting to be read (preferably at the park)

"There comes a moment when you have to stop revving up the car and shove it into gear." - David Mahoney
- tulips
- pretty, spring dresses
- my brother, for being my #1 fan
- my mom for her daily calls, who understands when I don't pick up the phone
- low-key but perfect birthday dinner with my downtown family at Murray Street Restaurant

"To travel hopefully is a better thing than to arrive." Robert Louis Stevenson
- birthday phone calls and messages
- windows open
- the sun's warmth
- green lentil soup and a glass of chardonnay
- Steve Carel's last episode on The Office
- teaching. each day that I get to be Ms. A reminds me that teaching is my calling

"All the art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on." Henry Ellis
What's hard:
knowing I will miss you always
when your name comes up
